Depeche Mode Is Coming to Portland On October 23rd, 2017

By PDX People

PORTLAND, Ore. – If you’re like me, Depeche Mode is one of the top bands from the eighties and nineties that you think about when you consider music from that era. Thankfully the band is still around and we’ll be coming back to Portland Oregon when they play at the Moda Center on October 23rd.

28 Date Tour of North America

What’s great about Depeche Mode is that while other bands from their generation continue to live off their hits, Depeche Mode continues to make new music and their upcoming 28-day tour of North America will promote “Spirit”, their 14th studio album that they’ve  produced in their 36-year career.

The English band remains founding trio Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Andy Fletcher.

The shows will raise funds for charity: water in a partnership with the watchmaker (and Jay Z favorite) Hublot. Ticket pre-sales begin on March 6 via DepecheMode.com, with Citi and AT&T customer pre-sales to start March 7 and the regular on-sale set for 10 a.m., March 10 via Livenation.com and Ticketmaster outlets.

About Depeche Mode

Since forming in 1980, Depeche Mode has continued to remain one of the most popular bands from the British New Wave scene and they’ve managed to continue producing new and interesting music over the years even while their members have gone through trials like a near fatal drug overdose and alcoholism.

Over the years, Depeche Mode has had over 50 singles on the top of the charts in the UK and iconic songs like “Personal Jesus” remain fan favorites in the U.S. that are played on classic rock stations nationwide.
