Born in 1975,\u00a0 Chris Walla<\/a><\/span> got his start in the music world with Death Cab for Cutie in the mid-1990s following the rise of grunge and alternative rock bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and the Stone Temple Pilots.<\/span><\/p>\n

There\u2019s No denying that in the mid-1990’s just about everyone was walking around wearing Doc Martens and plaid shirts; guys had long hair like Eddie Veder, while girls wanted to be Courtney Love.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chris Walla and Death Cab for Cutie<\/a><\/span> excelled at making music that wasn’t just typical grunge rock or alternative, their hit songs were beautiful, emotional and a breath of fresh air for a generation that was still trying to find itself and it’s musical taste.<\/span><\/p>\n

Quick Rise to Fame<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Following the launch of Death Cab for Cutie<\/a> in 1997, Chris Walla and the band toured the world while their music was played on every radio station across the Northwest and the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n

What makes Chris Walla different than most musicians who got their starts in the mid-1990s is that he actually left the band in 2014 to diversify musically, rather than continuing to live off his past success and today he\u2019s still heavily involved in music including working on side projects and producing records at his home studio in Portland Oregon, named Alberta Court.<\/span><\/p>\n
